Should you stage your home when you’re planning to sell it on the market? Find out today.
When putting your home on the market, how important is the staging process to the outcome of your sale?
First, let’s discuss what staging even is. Essentially, staging is the process of rearranging what you already have to present your home in its best light.
Now, there are different levels of staging that you should consider based on whether you still live in that home while you’re selling it:
If you’re working with us to sell your home and you’re still living there, we’ll set up a staging consultation with you. During this consultation, we’ll tell you how best to prepare your home to sell quickly and for more money, including where to place your furniture, which areas need repainted, which pictures to take down, and more.
On the other hand, if you’ve already moved out of the home when you go to sell it (meaning the home is empty), we’ll have a different conversation. It’s much harder to sell an empty home than a home with well-presented belongings in it.
If this is the case for you, we’ll send you a professional home stager to give you a bid for their services based on your home’s needs. They can bring in furniture, decor, and other items to put in your home in order for it to show well. This is important for homes in some price ranges, where expectations are high and the look and feel of a place are even more important.
